Governor Aubrius Returns to PickleGalleon Hollow After Twelve Days. The Pirate Wedding Was Not Held.

The courier from the Founders Archipelago arrived with a revised manifest. The Harbor Board has confirmed that PickleGalleon Hollow is once again occupied. Governor Aubrius has returned. He did not say where he had been. We did not ask.

PICKLEGALEON HOLLOW

Twelve days ago, the settlement at PickleGalleon Hollow went quiet. Affairs accumulated on the council desk. A pirate wedding went uncelebrated. A shipwreck sat unsalvaged in the shallows. A quarry vein was discovered and ignored. A granary infestation resolved itself, which is to say the rats won. The apprentice masons submitted a petition. It was the only document Governor Aubrius signed before his departure.

He left behind forty-nine levels of construction and fourteen armed men. The armed men have been standing at the wall for twelve days. The Harbor Board has described their morale as “present.”

Aubrius is now building again. The smoke is visible from the harbor.

Twenty

Governor BigChris colonised seven islands in two days. He now holds twenty. The feed clerk responsible for logging colonisation events has asked for an assistant. His request is under review.

BigChris broadcast a message to the archipelago this week. It read: “Who’s active!?” The question mark was his. Ninety-nine engagements were launched from his harbors in the past seven days. He already knew the answer.

Governor Darren took a third island and launched sixty-two engagements of his own. Between them, they account for nearly all naval activity in the archipelago. Darren has also conducted sixty-one raids on uninhabited islands. The provisions department has stopped asking where the surplus grain is coming from.

THE GREAT BAKE-OFF AT KELPSARDINE POINT

Governor Darren was called upon to settle a baking dispute at KelpSardine Point. Two entries. Two factions. One settlement on the verge of flour-related unrest. He tasted both entries personally, declared a winner, and restored order with gubernatorial authority and a full stomach. The losing baker has not commented.

A boundary stone was also found to have moved. A surveyor was hired. The stone was returned. The villagers are watching it.

Zero for Twenty-One

Twenty-one intelligence-gathering operations were launched across the archipelago this week. The number that succeeded is zero. The Harbor Board has verified this figure. The spy crews have been offered additional training. Several have declined, citing personal reasons.

SNORKELBOOTS BAY

Governor Benny dealt with a rat plague in the cellars at SnorkelBoots Bay by diverting the millstream directly into the lower stores. The rats scattered. The grain sacks did not survive. The cook has described the approach as “decisive.” The quartermaster has described it as something else. I have not recorded his exact words.

Benny continues to arm vessels. Two engagements this week and three raids on the outer islands. The harbor at SnorkelBoots Bay is no longer quiet.

ROGUERIG FORT

Governor Windy Walrus has still not launched a ship. This is now the third dispatch in which this fact appears. He has, however, sold a ghost ship’s cargo of cheese, organized river gold panning crews, and collected driftwood from a shipwreck. His affairs output remains extraordinary. His harbor remains empty.

Other Business

Captain Stormborn at SoggyTrident Gate has conducted two raids on uninhabited islands. This is the first recorded military activity from a governor outside the top four. The Harbor Board has noted this with some interest.

Governor vargat99 continues to build quietly. Three research projects have been completed. No ships have sailed. Progress is visible from the water.

First remains the only alliance in the archipelago, at six members. Alliance M was formed and dissolved between dispatches. The trader at the central market has stopped bringing his chair. He has accepted the situation.

Three trades were completed at the marketplace this week. Seventy-six islands remain unsettled. Twenty-three governors hold territory of some description. Several of them have been seen at the harbor recently. Others have not.
