Island Chronicle — Day 156
Founders World 1 August 2026

An audit opens, and the harbor counts ships twice

A courier arrived with seven days of chits tied in twine, and a separate scrap pinned to the Harbor Board that advised we count our ships this morning, then count them again.

The week the numbers took charge

The Black Tide was entered in the public record as being at war with all governors, and then proceeded to make the entry feel like a filing choice rather than a proclamation. It tested gates, slipped into BoomStinger Landing for a time, and was turned back elsewhere, including BoomHook Harbor under Luminous Reveller’s watch. The quartermaster insists this is easier to file as one war, in the same way a flood is easier to file as one wet floor. He has noted this without comment.

The same board now carries the older warning about night sails and missing craft, still without signature and still with the same instruction to count twice. Three patrol boats remain unaccounted for in the same careful phrasing. No one has claimed the penmanship.

SplashFish Nook, where arithmetic goes to be judged

roxx treated BigChris’ outlying islands as open storehouses, with thirteen raids in one stretch and no recorded losses among the outbound men. The lists are long, the returns are heavy, and the targets are filed as places rather than arguments. BigChris has not been seen at the harbor in some time.

At home, roxx opened the affair titled “The Uncloseable Ledger” at SplashFish Nook, ordering a fresh clerk to count alongside the quartermaster and resolve a discrepancy by independent audit. I have seen sieges begun with less ceremony than a disagreement over columns. The record reflects this.

Medium Island pays in idols, again

Aye-for-an-Aye struck Medium Island and cleared it of the Black Tide once more, taking damage across the church, harbour, housing, and storehouse, and carrying home another blackened idol. The quartermaster’s page titled “Idols, Blackened” remains open, and is now beginning to look like a habit. He has declined to explain.

In the same span, roxx cut the Tide out of two holdings recorded as Black Tide Chills and Black Tide Pall, while Ticklish Treasure threw it back at BoomStinger Landing twice. The Tide, being silent, has offered no clarification on whether this constitutes strategy or persistence. It has not commented.

New flags, old habits

Hidden planted a first flag on new ground and then claimed MapSquid Quay, which is how empires begin in this archipelago, by someone deciding a quay looks usable. Miko Misan kept the common shores busy with repeated raids, and PacoG and Peppy Bosun remain active enough that their ink has not yet dried. This is still the surest sign of competence.

A separate notice briefly placed Luminous Reveller at tenth on the realm board, and then the general traffic of the week pushed the name back down the page. The board continues to be treated as a living document, which is a polite way of saying it does not sit still.

Island Chronicle — Day 142 18 July 2026

Medium Island Was Freed Twice This Week, and Both Times It Paid in a Blackened Idol

Saturday review for Founders World: Black Tide-held ground was cleared again at Medium Island as Flowkap and Aye-for-an-Aye each forced a victory and brought home the same curious spoil. Aye-for-an-Aye also climbed to #8 on the realm board after new colonization at CrabPickle Watch and heavy plunder. Windy Walrus remains the realm's largest presence, while smaller courts like kelti, roxx, House Of Stark, and Peppy Bosun keep their own ledgers busy.

Island Chronicle — Day 109 16 June 2026

Dread Lord Won Ninety-Five Battles, Lost One, and Left.

Dread Lord ran the longest win streak the Founders Archipelago has recorded, forty-five straight, then stopped coming to the water and, by his own word, retired undefeated. Windy Walrus now sits first with two hundred and six islands. The Black Tide has been thrown back two hundred and sixty-eight times in a fortnight and is still arriving.

Island Chronicle — Day 56 24 April 2026

The Black Tide Held Six Harbours. None Lasted a Full Day.

A hidden naval actor known as the Black Tide seized six anchorages across the Founders Archipelago at dusk on the twenty-third. Within a day, Darren, Pytale, BigChris, and Windy Walrus had broken all six. Volatile Vermillion, Boss, and Outcast Osprey threw back attacks at their own harbours. BobTheabuilder, Ezthuel, and kelti were struck. The sails have gone. The watchmen are still watching.

Island Chronicle — Day 43 10 April 2026

One Hundred and Seventy Defenders Stood at CorsairPickle Shore. None Survived.

JayD33203 of the Hannah alliance struck CorsairPickle Shore twice in sixty seconds, destroying the full garrison of one hundred and seventy defenders. Pineapple Express was resolving a burglar complaint at the time. Governor Tru raided one hundred and two islands from four holdings. BigChris is now colonising toward CrabGoblet Lagoon. Two hundred and eighty-three islands are held across the Founders Archipelago.

Island Chronicle — Day 37 4 April 2026

BigChris Sent Three Waves Against Inselnova Shoal. Two Were Destroyed. He Took It Anyway.

BigChris launched eleven attacks against Darren's holdings at Inselnova Shoal and AnchorDeck Ridge, losing over a thousand troops before finally colonising both. Darren struck back the same afternoon. Windy Walrus raided GoblinBroadside Bay eight times in ninety minutes. Governor Pineapple Express resolved twenty council affairs at CorsairPickle Shore, including two goats and a fox. Forty governors now hold territory across the Founders Archipelago.

Island Chronicle — Day 32 30 March 2026

BigChris Sent 1,646 Troops to FlotsamScallywag Shoal. He Now Owns It.

BigChris launched six assaults against Darren's holdings at FlotsamScallywag Shoal and AnchorDeck Ridge, losing 439 troops and one full wave before finally razing both settlements. Windy Walrus holds twenty islands after sending fleet after fleet against one medium island that repeatedly refused colonisation. Billy No-Crew conquered his first territory. Eighteen new governors have arrived. The alliance Fairytale has formed and contains one member.
