New **Famine** — a new hostile blessing under Veyra. Cast it at a rival's coordinates and their settlement's mood collapses for four hours, dragging defence and production down with it. One hex per target at a time, but you can lay famines across many islands in parallel. Choose to cast openly or anonymously — the target sees the affliction either way, but only you know who lit the candle.
New **Reusable target dialog** — actions that strike another island now share a single picker. Type their `s1:s2:slot`, see the resolved name and owner, and confirm. Future targeted spells will reuse it.
New **Your Rites** — the Shrine has a new tab listing every blessing you've called down on yourself and every curse you've cast on others, sorted by which ends soonest.
New **Market Silence** — a new Veyra curse. Cast it on a rival and a veil falls over every wharf they hold for an hour: no listings, no accepts, no bazaar buys, on any of their islands. They can still cancel offers they've already made. Costs 750 lumen and needs church Lv 4.
New **Restack tax** — calling the same blessing back-to-back now costs more each time the existing buff is still humming: base, then +25%, +50%, +75%, double. Stop chain-casting and the price walks back down.
New Combat reports now show every blessing in play at the moment of the battle — yours and theirs — as small chips next to the report.
New When you launch a fleet, the dispatch panel surfaces the blessings that will *travel with the fleet* — attack power buffs that count at the destination, naval speed buffs in flight. Defence buffs stay on the island and are no longer shown there as noise.
New Schools are now **Churches**, gathering a sacred new resource called **Lumen**. Your church is the reliquary — each level produces lumen and holds it (no overflow), so upgrade to bank more. Existing schools become churches at the same level, no cost.
New New **Shrine** action on your islands — a violet button beside Build and Forces, opening to the Lumen offering hall and your active rites.
New **Lumen buys blessings.** Each god offers two blessings unlocking as your church rises. Aureon brightens hearts and steadies defenders. Iselyn fattens the harvest and the coin. Tharnos sharpens blades and quickens the masons. Morkheld stiffens walls and turns the tide. Velosine speeds your sails and fills every fleet. Buy again on an active blessing to extend its timer (capped per blessing).
New **Wake the gods with sacrifice.** Reaching a god's church level only opens the door — to call them back, you must lay a host of your standing army upon their altar (Aureon asks 50 souls, Iselyn 120, Tharnos 200, Morkheld 300, Velosine 400). Each god already awake on an island raises the next god's price by half their base. Once a god is Awake, all of their blessings open.
New Consecrated islands glow violet on the map — brighter the fuller your reliquary. Only you see your own glow.
New **Lumen is raidable.** A raider who overruns your shrine takes every drop — the storehouse does not shield it. Their own reliquary must have room or the rest evaporates on the voyage home.
Improved Church levels are cheaper to climb — every upgrade costs a touch less, and the high tiers are a real reach instead of a wall. Strong blessings unlock sooner.
Improved Coin of Plenty, Forge Heart, and War Forge are pricier in lumen — their pull on your reliquary now matches what they pay back.
Improved When a curse is laid on your island, a red banner appears on the Shrine's Lumen tab — the rite's name, the rival who cast it, where they cast it from, and the time left until it lifts.
Improved The Shrine button on the world map glows when something's running on your island: red while you're cursed, purple while a blessing of yours is active.
Improved God names are unified — Thalor, Korvath, Elara, Veyra, Nyssa now read the same in the UI as in the game's data. Improved Warships in a fleet with troops aboard take less damage than the troops do — the discount scales with how much of the fleet's strength is land vs naval (a token spearfighter no longer unlocks the full discount). A pure-naval raid still pays the full price.
Improved Battle reports redesigned — a one-line summary tells you who won and how decisively, and the siege section shows what your catapults destroyed plus any pool that was left over.
