The Black Tide is hoarding your lumen. Watch the hoard from your tower, raid them back, bring home a Blackened Idol
The Black Tide used to attack you and vanish. Now it raids your lumen and carries it home to its own islands, stacking it up in churches you can see from your watchtower. You can sail in and take it back. When you do, your fleet brings home a Blackened Idol.
New
- The Black Tide raids your lumen and stashes it on its own islands. The hoard grows as it raids, and your fleet can sail in and take it back.
- A Black Tide tab on the Watchtower tracks the hoard. Raise more towers and you see more: the total first, then island counts and growth, then the actual islands with bearings you can tap to jump to on the map.
- Tear down your Church from the build view. You salvage a quarter of the materials, lose whatever lumen it was holding, and go dark so the Black Tide stops hunting your shore.
- Raid a Black Tide island and your fleet brings home a Blackened Idol. The battle report leads with a liberation banner and a Blackened Idol line in your plunder.
Improved
- The Church build view shows stored lumen as a purple fill bar like the shrine, and the description reads in-world instead of raw numbers.
- Research descriptions rewritten in-world for spear, shield, bow, catapult, sail, espionage, and guard.
- New Guard research: your guard dogs can now be levelled up for more defence.
- Removed the Defenders scoreboard from the rankings page.
Fixed
- Shield research no longer secretly buffs Guard Hounds. Dogs scale through a dedicated Guard study now.
- Lumen rewards from advisor events no longer overshoot what your churches can hold. Late-game payouts stay in range of your storage cap.
- Expeditions that should have unlocked after one you already finished now appear in your harbour, instead of staying locked because a new route was added after your run.
- Clicking outside the expanded top bar panel closes it on desktop, matching the bottom panels.
