Alliance Hold contests are live: take a contested island, hold it, bank the hours, your alliance wins
The Council now marks one or more contested islands on the map. Raze a contested island’s Main House to level 1 and the charter always holds. Every minute your alliance keeps that island counts toward the goal; lose it and the time you’ve already banked stays yours; take it back and the count carries on. First alliance to the target hours wins the prize in standings. Contested islands work differently from normal colonisation, with no expansion penalties, and normal colonisation is unchanged.
Under the hood this is now an “event” system, so please share ideas for other types of games. Let’s get it playtested first, iron out the issues, then expand it with more variants and events.
New
- Alliance Hold contests, live in the events tab and on a tappable circle next to the ticker.
- Bless beyond your own shore: any shrine blessing can now be cast on one of your other islands, an alliance member, or a friend. You pay the lumen, they receive the rite.
- Lose your realm and come back: you get a fresh, already-built island with stocked stores, the tutorial skipped, and a one-tap screen to jump straight back in.
- New Grey Reaver expedition (unlocks after Mutiny at Sea): hunt a pirate flagship to a lee shore, then choose shoals, board, or let the sea take it. Three endings, three different hauls of pirate plunder.
Improved
- The Marketplace ledger now names who you sold each item to, and who you bought from.
- Reports and notifications look and behave the same in the dispatches list and when opened.
- Dispatches keep your place: open a report or notification, tap back, and the list is where you left it.
Fixed
- The Workshop header updates right away after you choose a trade.
- Tapping a raid or colonisation in the top bar opens the right mission dialog.
- A colonisation fleet that arrives to find the island already taken by one of your own alliance now turns around and sails home with its ship, instead of being wasted or razing an ally.
- Raid-target islands carrying tradeable goods (supply chests, fine rope, storm lanterns, and more) are being distributed to islands again.
