Quality of life, first batch. The clerks have answered your letters, starting with the ones about the Market

release

The last release promised quality of life, and this is the first batch of it. Most of it came from your reports. The Market got the most work. Change an offer’s price without pulling it, get more open slots as your Marketplace grows, and stop finding offers that nobody can buy. Alliances got a page of their own, and chat can now call a Governor by name.

The Workshop

Crafting should be easier to follow. Mastery is now one number for the whole island, in step with your stewards, and every recipe checks it. Eight everyday goods, War Drums included, are made on every island’s common bench, and a good is Common, Specialty or Rare by where it comes from. The masterworks no island could ever buy are gone, and the speed-up now reads plainly as less craft time.

The Market

Posting an offer is simpler. Pick what to sell from one page, with resources, minerals and goods in their own groups, then press Continue. Change an offer’s price from My Offers without pulling it, and a buyer always sees the new price before paying. Sea ores can now be sold, though not asked for as a price.

Alliances and rocks

Every alliance has a Quarterdeck page with its territory rank, charter, wars and quests, and three members in the spotlight each week. Its Territories list counts islands, oceans and rocks, and a tap sails you there. Rocks always show Prospect, greyed out with the reason when a garrison turns you away, and Governors without an alliance can prospect too. Raiding a guarded rock brings its flag down, and a Claim, which can now sail from any of your islands, holds it.

New

  • Change an open offer’s price from Market > My Offers without cancelling it
  • Type @ in any chat to call a Governor by name, even in a muted channel, or @alliance to call the whole channel
  • Star a report on the Governor’s Desk to keep it under Starred however old it grows
  • Every alliance has a Quarterdeck page with its territory rank, charter, wars and quests, and three members in the spotlight each week
  • Chat channels list who is aboard and when each was last seen, and alliance leaders can set a welcome message

Improved

  • Each Marketplace level opens one more offer slot, from 3 up to 22
  • Filter the Open Market by item and sort it by nearest or cheapest
  • Workshop storage keeps growing past level 20 on stewarded islands, up to 1,978 goods
  • Filter and sort the Desk and the Realm list, including incoming or outgoing strikes
  • Bad news on the Desk stands out in red and says what happened
  • The browser tab flashes red for an attack and orange for a mention
  • Realm islands are marked Troubled only for urgent problems, and say why
  • Your steward speaks on more screens, and realm-wide cards use your capital’s steward
  • Tap food or any resource on the settlement screen to see its use
  • Economy shows your steward’s advice, your taxpayers and your free coin space
  • Shared intel opens as a full report, with its islands linked to the map
  • Doctrine shot now looks like crates of shot
  • Try /slap @Name in chat
  • Clearer world news, scoreboards, settings, prestige and Town Hall screens

Fixed

  • An offer whose seller has no ships is struck by the first buyer
  • Workshop orders take stores piece by piece, so queues no longer tie up Lumen
  • Eyes on Every Harbour counts each harbour once and never goes backwards
  • Raiding an island again earns alliance XP, once a day per island
  • Prospect shows the real round trip, and its reports say Prospecting
  • The Black Cove lets you pack Repaired Timber for the stream crossing
  • Alliance votes open directly, not the sender’s profile
  • Screens that fail to load now offer Retry instead of spinning forever
  • Build, Shrine and Forces open faster, and island buttons stay clear of the ticker
  • Long sessions use less memory

Coming next

A second batch of quality of life improvements is already underway. If something in the game still gets in your way, tell me in game or on Discord.
